macOS Workflows Finder Tools Audio QC Delivery Utilities

Purpose

This page is a small local library for utilities that can be installed, copied, shared, or adapted. The first tool is Audio QC Preflight, a Finder Quick Action for generating a fast audio-file technical report from the right-click menu.

Place this home.html file in the same folder as the utility files so the relative links below work correctly.

Current Dependency Notes

These dependencies support the Audio QC Preflight workflow.

FFmpeg / FFprobe ffmpeg runs loudness analysis. ffprobe reads stream and container metadata such as codec, sample rate, bit depth, channel count, duration, and bit rate.
SoX sox performs sample-level analysis, including sample peak, RMS level, DC offset, min/max sample values, and crest factor.
MediaInfo mediainfo reads technical and tag metadata, including format, bit depth, ISRC when present, encoded application, and other container-level information.
Homebrew brew is the macOS package manager used to install and update the command-line tools required by the workflow.
